The year is now well underway and once again it looks to be a busy, productive and successful year for our School. However, even with the fast pace of school life, The Hutchins School places an emphasis on the value of our staff.
Our Hutchins Lions wall now recognises distinguished Old Boy and acclaimedfighter pilot, Stuart Walch – the only Tasmanian to be recognised on the Battle of Britain Honour Board in Westminster Abbey.
During the holidays three boys, Oliver Midgley, Henry Pitt and Henry Larkin, with some help from Miss Morgan and Mrs Turner painted the Traffic Signal Box using the Kidner boys' designs.
The attraction, development and retention of the best staff is one of the School’s strategic goals and to understand and measure if we are achieving this objective, all employees will soon be invited to rate their employment experiences through our employee survey, the PRIDE Survey.
Mr Alan Jones has been formally commissioned as the 10th Deputy Headmaster of The Hutchins School during a special Headmaster's Assembly.
The Tasmanian Qualifications Authority's (TQA's) annual awards celebrate outstanding achievement, highlighting the achievement of people across a broad range of skill and interest areas, both academic and vocational.
We congratulate the Year 12 students who have been inducted as Captains in 2012. The Badges of Office and Prefects' Ties were presented at a Headmaster's Assembly on 7 February.
Students from The Hutchins School have again achieved outstanding results in this Year’s TCE examinations.
Students from all over Hobart were recently treated to a colourful and entertaining production of the Pirates of Penzance by our talented group of Year 8 students.
