On Tuesday 19 June, The Hutchins School was lucky enough to host best-selling author of The Inheritance Cycle series, Christopher Paolini for a talk, Q&A session and book-signing in the Terence Butler Auditorium.
The Hutchins School Boat Club has excelled, with the successes including: three podium finishes at the Australian Rowing Championships, winning the Rowing Tasmania Schools Pennant for the third successive year, nine trophies at the Tasmanian State Championships, retention of the Junior and Senior trophies for both the All-Schools Championship Regatta and Head of the River Regatta and for the fifth successive year, winning the Head of the River Schoolboys Eight.
On Monday 21 May, 14 students and three staff took off on QF1 to London on the inaugural Hutchins Cricket Tour of England.
We were delighted to welcome Reverend Tim Costello as our guest speaker at this year’s Webber Lecture in May.
The Magenta and Black Show at the Long Gallery gives students the chance to display their works in a “real” gallery setting, with works from students from Kinder to Year 12 on display.
