Where we need your support

Making a gift is an extraordinary statement of support for our shared goals. We strive to provide every opportunity for boys to become their best, while sharing the experience of a Hutchins education with students that may not otherwise have the opportunity.

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.

Sir Winston Churchill

This cannot be achieved without the financial support of our community, for this we are grateful.

The School and the Foundation invite you to make a difference in the lives of current and future students by making a gift to one or more of the areas that need your support.

We take this opportunity to say a sincere thank you for considering making a gift.

All gifts, no matter their size go directly to the Fund indicated by the donor.

Tax deductibility

A donation to The Hutchins School is a statement of practical support for our shared goal of providing opportunities for boys to become their best. The Hutchins Foundation is Trustee for the Building Fund, the Fund for Scholarships and Bursaries, and the Fund for Library Resources, donations to which are tax deductible in Australia.

Changing lives through scholarships and bursaries

Changing lives through our Fund for Scholarships and Bursaries

Our school is committed to offering a greater number of scholarships to broaden our student community and to help young men, regardless of background or circumstance, benefit from the opportunities provided by a Hutchins education. As a direct result of our inaugural 24 Hour Giving Day on 24 June 2019 we look forward to welcoming a boy who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to come to Hutchins, to our community.

Building the vision

Building the vision through our Building Fund

With global recognition of middle schooling commencing in Year 6, we will be moving our Year 6 boys from the Junior School into the Middle School for the commencement of 2021. To accommodate the additional Year 6 classes, the School will construct a new Middle School wing, providing breakout learning spaces for collaborative learning and large spaces that allow year groups to meet.

Fund for Library Resources

Feature – Fund for Library Resources

Libraries at Hutchins are exciting and interactive, with a focus on engagement and different opportunities to learn. They are vibrant learning environments, resourced to equip students with skills to read, research, and learn online while keeping pace with technology as the digital age combines with traditional learning. Donations to the Fund enable us to purchase books and learning resources, keep our learning spaces up to date, and facilitate refurbishment, allowing Hutchins libraries to remain at the forefront of all aspects of student learning.
