On Friday 19 August Year 4 students participated in Wakakirri - a National story-sharing arts festival that challenges schools to 'make a positive impact on the world around you'.

The Hutchins School Cross Country Team competed in the SSATIS Cross Country at Pontville on Tuesday 2 August. A large team of students from Years 7–12 competed admirably in fantastic race conditions.

The work of Year 9 student, Harrison Paine has recently been installed in the John Bednall Centre for Learning Support. Harrison constructed a glass mosaic out of the 37 kilograms of glass fragments he collected along the Derwent River foreshore and mounted it on glass mirrors.
