On Wednesday 8 May 2019 the Tasmanian Suicide Prevention Community Network (TSPCN) held their annual LIFE Awards before tomorrow’s forum in Hobart.
On Tuesday 7 May 2019 our student-led Environmental and Sustainability Committee met in the Middle School Quad with Veolia to conduct a waste audit.
On Wednesday 10 April 2019 the Middle and Senior School Athletics Carnival was held at the Domain Athletics Centre where the boys enjoyed excellent weather conditions throughout the day.
After demonstrating excellent form and achieving consistently fast race times, the decision was made to send the Head of River winning Hutchins First Eight to NSW to participate in the Australian Rowing Championships and challenge themselves against the best crews in the country.
On Friday 22 March 2019 our ELC boys hosted their Grandparents’ Day, performing a lovely concert and a morning tea afterwards in the auditorium.
On Thursday 21 March 2019, our Junior School (Years 3–6) Swimming team participated in the annual JSSATIS Swimming Carnival at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre.
Relay for Life 2019 started early for the Hutchins Team. At 11.00am boys were volunteering to assist participants with their belongings to various campsites. The official start at 1.00pm saw us begin with 20 students.
A sensational victory last weekend in enemy territory for the Hutchins 2nd XI Cricket side vs Scotch Oakburn College final!
On Monday 18 March 2019, Year 12 students, Rhys Evans, Angus McIntosh, Cameron Urquhart, and Alex Stephens attended the Tasmanian Youth Climate Leaders Conference at Hobart College, along with Science Teacher Dr Michaela Guest.
