New cricket honour board – assistance needed!
We are currently gathering names for a new cricket honour board, intended to record Hutchins First XI captains and the winners of the Butler Awards for batting and bowling averages for each year since their inception in 1912.
Much of the above information was published in School Magazines, Speech Night programs/Prize Lists, or Awards Assembly programs. However, we are missing these documents for some crucial years and are looking for assistance from Old Boys who may remember, or hold documentary evidence of their own that is missing from our Collection.
We have the cricket captains, but need the winners of averages for the following years: 1938 (bowling), 1939, 1946, 1947, (bowling), 1948, 1949, 1952, 1955 (batting), 1956 (bowling), 1957, 1959 (bowling), 1979 (batting), 1988, 1989, 1990, 1994.
Please, can you help? Archives is missing many early Awards Assembly programs; any documents donated or lent for copying will be very gratefully received.
