William Thorpe (Year 11) obtains Licentiate in Music, Australia

Congratulations to William Thorpe (Year 11) who was recently successful in obtaining his Licentiate in Music, Australia, which is an award for outstanding candidates in musical performance.

To obtain this Diploma whilst still at school is an exceptional achievement. The examination required Will to perform a 50 minute programme of solo cello music for a state and national examiner. Will’s LmusA Diploma is a result of many years of practice and dedication, as it requires the performance of music at an extremely high level.

Will is very grateful to Brett Rutherford his cello teacher for his ongoing guidance, and to Jennifer Marten-Smith for piano accompaniment over the many years that they have worked together.

Hutchins Music is very proud of Will and his significant achievement. Congratulations!
