Prefects’ AFL Grand Final Breakfast

Alexander Hogan-Jones (School Vice-Captain) with panel members Brent Crosswell, Jim Wilkinson (’69), Marcus Davies (’09), Cameron Blight and Chris Rae (’66)

On Friday 27 September 2019, 130 Hutchins boys and their fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and mentors gathered in Burbury House for the Prefects’ AFL Grand Final Breakfast. It was great to see everyone representing their team wearing footy colours to hear from some special panel members about AFL in Tasmania.

Cameron Blight (First XVIII coach) interviewed our panel providing an interesting discussion about the development own Tasmania’s own AFL team, and the pathways available to students in football. The panel included Marcus Davies (’09), Chris Rae (’66), Brent Crosswell, and Jim Wilkinson (’69) who between them hold many years of experience both on and off the field which they shared with us.

Thank you to the Prefects, Community Relations team and the Catering team for putting on such a wonderful event and we hope you enjoy Grand Final day tomorrow!
