Middle School Play a swashbuckling success

Pirates of Penzance

Students from all over Hobart were recently treated to a colourful and entertaining production of the Pirates of Penzance by our talented group of Year 8 students.

With its light-hearted storyline, catchy music and opportunity for show-stealing roles as "gorgeous girls", the play lends itself well to a Middle School production.

Matinee and evening performances allowed the boys to share their production with students from local schools, parents and other Hutchins students.  Judging by the laughter and delight on the faces of our younger students at the extravagant costumes, the boys' efforts were very well received.

The event's success was thanks to a huge staff effort. The magical choral direction by Mr Andrew Bainbridge deserves special mention.

To learn more about the opportunities we provide for boys to become their best, contact our Enrolments Assistant, submit an online Enquiry form or phone 03 6221 4236. We encourage you to book a tour with our Registrar as this is the best way to see our School in action. Read more…
