Hutchins celebrates Book Week 2014

Students dressed as characters from their favourite books.

On August 19, we celebrated Book Week in style at our P-6 Book Week Assembly. The official Book Week theme "Connect to Reading, Reading to Connect" was well-represented by staff and students dressing up as their favourite book characters and parading across the stage with their books on display. We showcased the activities our boys have been doing with Book Week-nominated books via a slideshow presentation, but the real show-stealer was the performance by our hosts 5K! They acted out a reader's theatre version of I'm a Dirty Dinosaur by Janeen Brian and Ann James, complete with dinosaur masks and actions.

The Stephens Library will continue to develop the theme of "Connect to Reading" until the end of Term 3, so please drop in and see the wonderful connections our students are making!

To learn more about the opportunities we provide for boys to become their best, contact our Enrolments Assistant, submit an online Enquiry form or phone 03 6221 4236. We encourage you to book a tour with our Registrar as this is the best way to see our School in action. Read more…
