Early Learning Centre and Junior School Anniversary Assembly

President of the Hutchins School Old Boys’ Association Mr Barrie Irons, Elliott Lee (Pre-Kindergarten) and Thomas Birkett (Year 6) cutting the Anniversary Cake.

On Tuesday 6 August 2019, boys and staff from the Early Learning Centre and Junior School gathered in the Terence Butler Auditorium for the Anniversary Assembly, celebrating the 173rd birthday of The Hutchins School.

Students, staff and families were treated to performances from the Junior School Orchestra, Early Learning Centre Dance Troupe, Pride and Massed Choirs as well as the reading of a Chinese poem by Frederick Clifford and Max Newman (Year 6).

Mrs Jenny Manthey (Head of Junior School) gave an interesting presentation on the history of the Hutchins Junior School in order to celebrate its centenary year.

A birthday cake was cut by the President of the Hutchins School Old Boys’ Association, Mr Barrie Irons, Elliott Lee (the youngest student in the School) and Thomas Birkett (the oldest student in the Junior School).
