Australian Council of Educational Leaders (ACEL) – Tasmanian Fellowship Award
Congratulations to Mr Wayne Brown, Associate Deputy Headmaster/Director of Staff Performance on recently receiving the ACEL Tasmanian Fellowship Award.
This award aims to recognise Tasmanian educational leaders who have made a broad contribution to the improvement of student and organisational outcomes at the local level and beyond, and have contributed significantly to the work and vision of ACEL. Wayne over the past five years, has been an executive member of ACEL Tasmania, and has been a consultative member of the National Performance and Development group for AITSL. Wayne has received a national award from AITSL for his outstanding contribution to Independent Schools Tasmania through his work on the implementation of the Australian Performance Standards for Teachers and has presented this work locally and nationally at conferences and schools.
Wayne has contributed widely to the work of our International Boys’ Schools Coalition Action Research Program, working with our teachers to undertake research to present at international conferences to improve student outcomes for boys.
