Academic Scholarships are offered for entry at Year 5, 7 and 11. Scholarships offer discounts on tuition fees up to 50%.
It is with pleasure that we share with you a sample of the outstanding academic achievements of our Year 11 and 12 students in 2020. The exceptional results are testament to the boys’ efforts and discipline to academic studies throughout the year.
This year our Community Relations team worked tirelessly to deliver COVID-19 safe events across the whole school to celebrate the year that was 2020. Our usual Speech Night format had to be split into multiple events to comply with restrictions with a mixture of live and pre-recorded performances.
On Tuesday 8 December we celebrated our Leavers of 2020 at the Federation Concert Hall for Year 12 Speech Night. This was a great event for Year 12 leavers, their families and staff to celebrate the end of school life.
The Year 11 Awards and Leadership Presentation was held on Monday 7 December at St David’s Cathedral where boys were presented with Co-Curricular and Academic prizes and awards of Special Distinction.
On Friday 27 November our Leavers of 2020 culminated their time at Hutchins with a day of celebration starting with Morning Tea in the Nettlefold Library where Mrs Judy Smith shared some memories from teaching the boys during their early years.
On Wednesday 25 November family and staff gathered in the Terence Butler Auditorium to celebrate the end of the year with Prep to Year 2 students.
After an extensive application process over twelve months, I am delighted to announce that The Hutchins School was granted Candidate status with the Round Square organisation last week.
The world has profoundly changed in 2020 due to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The degree and speed of change has resulted in collective uncertainty, insecurity and apprehension for many young people.
