The opportunity

The Hutchins School, established in 1846, is an internationally-accredited Anglican Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school in Hobart, Tasmania with an enrolment of over 1,000 boys.

The Headmaster of The Hutchins School now seeks to appoint an outstanding educational leader with significant teaching and learning experience and a strong commitment to student and staff wellbeing.

Our expectations

The Deputy Head is involved with all facets of the School’s management and operations. As such, the role is varied, fast-paced and strives to ensure that students, carers, staff and other members of the School’s community are engaged in a manner that is supportive of the School’s Guiding Statements that articulate our vision, mission, values and commitment to global citizenship.

The Deputy Head is an ex-officio member of The Hutchins School Board and any of its defined sub-committees.
