Year 12 Valedictory Service and Guard of Honour

Year 12 Guard of Honour

On Friday 28 November we proudly celebrated our 2025 Hutchins Valedictory Day, a milestone occasion honouring our Year 12 students as they conclude their journey at Hutchins.

The day began at the Bell Tower with special photos for our long-serving students, followed by the full cohort gathering together before making their way as a group through the Senior School staff room and into the Nettlefold Library for Morning Tea and a warm welcome from School staff.

Our community then came together in the Terence Butler Auditorium for the Valedictory Service and Co-curricular Awards Presentation. We recognised excellence across a wide range of activities, heard heartfelt reflections from students, enjoyed performances from our Year 2 Cubs Choir and Senior School Rock Band and listened to an inspiring address from our Year 12 Orator, Gabe Harkness.

Following the service, families joined the Guard of Honour, a cherished tradition that saw our Valedicts walk from the Auditorium to War Memorial Oval, supported by students and staff from across the School. The Class of 2025 then united for their final School War Cry, marking the official conclusion of the day’s celebrations.

To finish, our Year 12 students enjoyed tours of the N J Edwards Hub as they look ahead to the next chapter of their journeys.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025. We are immensely proud of the young people you have become and all you have contributed to our School community.

Virtue endures: united in honour, guided by courage, strengthened by service.
