Year 12 Prefects tackle ‘The Edge’

Year 12 Prefects Martyn Szoke, Oliver Burrows-Cheng, Rhys Evans and Billy Blackett.

On Sunday 2 June 2019, four Year 12 Prefects completed ‘The Edge’, fundraising for the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation.

Participants challenged themselves by abseiling 73 metres down Wrest Point – Tasmania’s tallest building.

Oliver Burrows-Cheng (School Captain), Rhys Evans (Prefect), Billy Blackett (Captain of School House) and Martyn Szoke (Captain of Thorold House) volunteered to go over the edge to raise some much needed funds to support local health and medical research in Tasmania.

In less-than-ideal weather conditions the boys completed the abseil and raised close to $2,500 for the Foundation.
