Year 11 and 12 Speech Night 2021

Year 12 Procession

On Wednesday 1 December we celebrated our prize winners in Years 11 and 12 as well as our Leavers of 2021 at the Federation Concert Hall at the Year 11 and 12 Speech Night. This was a great event for students, their families and staff to celebrate this year’s achievements and the end of school life for our Year 12s.

Guests were entertained by performances from the Senior Combined String Orchestra, the Senior School Choir, Stage Band and the Senior Dance Troupe as well as the Year 11 and 12 co-curricular reflections video.

Congratulations to all prize winners and 2021 Leavers. We also congratulate Harrison Jones (School Captain) on his final Valedictory Address to guests and Leavers of 2021.

At this event the Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award and the E M Lilley Memorial Prize for Dux of the School were presented to two deserving Year 12 students. The Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award is a Year 12 award and is voted on by the Class of 2021. It is named in honour of Ben Chuck, an Old Boy who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash while serving in Afghanistan. Like Ben, a good man possesses the qualities of humility, kindness, courage and respect. We congratulate Oliver Elrick on receiving this award in 2021. The E M Lilley Memorial Prize for Dux of the School was presented to Hamish McDougall. Congratulations to Oliver and Hamish on your achievements in 2021.
