Student-led Environmental and Sustainability Committee conduct waste audit

Student leaders conducting a waste audit with Veolia.

On Tuesday 7 May 2019 our student-led Environmental and Sustainability Committee met in the Middle School Quad with Veolia to conduct a waste audit. The boys learnt about what can and cannot be recycled so they can better educate their peers around the school about recycling!

“We have begun implementing a range of initiatives to reduce the quantity of waste produced; how such waste is managed; and how individual and organisational concern for sustainability is practised through behaviour and thought.” – Cameron Urquhart (Year 12)

This is just one of many environmentally sustainable initiatives happening at the school with the committee’s main goal for 2019 being to improve waste management at the school. We look forward to sharing many more stories as the year goes on!
