Southern SATIS Athletics Carnival
On Tuesday 7 September a team of 60 athletes from Years 7–12 represented Hutchins at the Southern SATIS Athletics Carnival at the Domain Athletic Centre. In trying conditions, all athletes performed outstandingly well after their month of training. Hutchins was awarded the Aggregate Shield and the U14 division won their age pennant.

- Oliver Elrick (Year 12) – Open 100m, 200m
- Zac Phair (Year 12) – Open Javelin
- Henry Madsen (Year 10) – U16 400m, 800m
- Archie Simondson (Year 10) – U16 High Jump
- Lachlan Sheen (Year 9) – U15 1500m
- Cody Wighton (Year 9) – U15 High Jump
- Charles Leesong (Year 9) – U15 Javelin
- Jarvis Breen (Year 8) – U14 800m
- Daniel Sypkes (Year 11), Oliver Elrick (Year 12), Nick Som (Year 11), Sonny Pybus (Year 12) – Open, 4 x 100 Relay
- Louis Smith, Harry Wood, Julius Patiniotis (all Year 10), Alexander Smart (Year 9) – U16, 4 x 100 Relay
A smaller team will now be selected to compete in the State SATIS competition on Saturday 18 September.
