The Middle and Senior School Speech Night held on Thursday 5 December was a spectacular celebration of student achievements in 2019. Guests were treated to many musical and drama performances from a range of year levels and our Leavers of 2019 were officially declared Old Boys being presented with pins from the President of the Hutchins School Old Boys’ Association, Mr Barrie Irons.

Awards not included in the Speech Night program are:

  • The Stephen Gumley Shield for Inter House Academic was presented to School House.
  • The Ben Chuck ‘Good Man’ Award was presented to Nicholas Smart (Year 12).
  • The E M Lilley Memorial Prize for Dux of the School was presented to Billy Blackett (Year 12).

School leaders for 2020 were also announced. Congratulations to the following students:

  • Stephens House Captain: Angus Wakefield, Vice Captain: Joe Clifford
