ASX schools sharemarket game
Year 9 students Riley Ashlin and Axel Moore have just been named the state winners of the ASX schools sharemarket game. They have been involved in buying and selling a hypothetical $50,000 starting worth of shares over a 10 week period in the sharemarket in real time at real prices.
This was undertaken as part of their study of their Personal Investing course. Congratulations to Riley and Axel who were awarded a winning certificate and $200 each. This is the second consecutive time that boys from the Year 9 Personal Investing course at The Hutchins School have been State Winners.
The boys turned $50,000 into $59,125 over the 10 weeks!
