We had many amazing book characters arrive at school for the Early Learning Centre and Junior School Book Week Assemblies.
Today we welcomed the Anglican Bishop of Tasmania and Visitor to The Hutchins School Board the Rt Revd Dr Richard Condie to the School for Bishop’s Day.

On the official birthday of the School, the Anniversary Service was held at St David’s Cathedral today.
Captain of Debating, Jeremy Reid led the student team to victory after a two year drought in Monday’s Anniversary Debate on the topic: That we need privacy.
The Hutchins School Old Boys’ Association unveiled the Hutchins Lion which is a posthumous award given to honour an Old Boy who has excelled in his chosen field of endeavour.
The Anniversary Lunch held today was a wonderful celebration supported by The Hutchins Foundation and the Hutchins School Old Boys Association. It included the presentation of The Hutchins Foundation Follow Your Dreams Awards.
On 2 July Alex Stephens, Sudhaunshu Hardikar Struen Vanderplas, George Scott (all Year 10) and William Mather and Alexander Kruzis (both year 9) attended the International Student Science Conference in Hong Kong.
