The opportunity

The Hutchins School, established in 1846, is an Anglican Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school with an enrolment of over 1,000 boys. The Hutchins School seeks to provide an inspirational education where each boy strives to achieve his personal best.

The School seeks to appoint a Human Resources Co-ordinator to join our People, Culture and Safety team in Sandy Bay. We are looking for a person who is highly motivated, possess outstanding interpersonal skills and has exceptional administrative skills. The purpose of this role is to support the day to day human resource functions with a strong focus on delivering extraordinary recruitment practices.

Reporting to the Manager People, Culture and Safety, you will assist to co-ordinate and administer the HR portfolio including but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, employment agreements, coordination of the performance development process in accordance with organisational policies and statutory requirements. This position is permanent, working term time only.

It is a strict requirement of our school that all staff obtain and maintain a Tasmania's Department of Justice Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) evidence of which must be provided prior to commencement.

All staff are required to support the School’s Christian education programs according to the practices of the Anglican Church of Australia.
