The opportunity
The Hutchins School, established in 1846, is an Anglican Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school in Hobart, Tasmania. We are an Anglican school whose supportive learning community works together to nurture character of boys.
We have a great opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our team in the Early Learning Centre as a Bilingual Teacher Aide. Our aides work closely with our classroom teachers to support the teaching and learning of boys with English as a second language. On this occasion, the position would require applicants to have both English and Chinese languages with Mandarin as a preference.
The team in the Early Learning Centre work in a rewarding and high-performance learning environment. This is a permanent part-time position starting in Term 2 working 0.842 FTE over five days, term time only.

It is a strict requirement of our school that all staff obtain and maintain a Tasmania's Department of Justice Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) evidence of which must be provided prior to commencement.
All staff are required to support the School’s Christian education programs according to the practices of the Anglican Church of Australia.
