Fundraising plays an important role at Hutchins - many of the facilities we enjoy today have been possible only because of the generosity of past generations. Education helps to produce tomorrow's scientists, medical researchers and business and community leaders and is a wonderful way of maintaining the Hutchins tradition.
Bequests are a key source of support, and enable a lasting memory to be established. We encourage everyone in the community to consider including a bequest to Hutchins in their wills. Even a bequest of a small percentage of a modest estate can be a significant gift whilst still leaving the bulk of the estate to family or other beneficiaries.
The Hutchins Foundation has established the 1846 Society to recognise those who have indicated they have left a bequest to the School or Foundation.
Tax deductible funds
The Hutchins Foundation manages three funds to which donations will usually be tax deductible. These are the Scholarships and Bursaries Fund, the Library Fund and the Building Fund. All three of these areas provide crucial support to the School.
Donations with fees
Each fee account contains an option to make a donation to one of the three tax deductible funds managed by the Hutchins Foundation. We encourage all families to support this program.
Regular donations and Foundation membership
You can also arrange to make a regular (monthly) donation to one of the funds. Also, the Hutchins Foundation has a special membership program to recognise the generosity of our supporters.
Parents' Association activities
The Parents' Association provides significant support to the school in a variety of ways (mostly in the provision of special equipment or the execution of special projects). By supporting the Association and its projects (such as the School Fair) you are not only helping the School but can have fun at the same time!
