Budding accountants gain industry insight

Basi Thomas-Wilson, Thomas Tsiakis, Josh Symonds and Calum Mitchell.

On 28 July members of the Economics and Accounting classes responded to an invite from The Institute of Chartered Accountants to attend a function at The Grand Chancellor. The event was designed to give the special opportunity to communicate with staff members of already established public and private enterprises (ranging from the Australian Taxation Office to KPMG).

The function itself was an excellent educational experience and gave real insight into the workings and options available to students during and after tertiary education was completed. All students found the occasion enjoyable and gained much valued knowledge.
