Renowned Journalist's Year 3 visit

Budding journalists in Year 3 quiz former ABC Journalist Judy Tierny.

Award-winning former ABC Journalist Judy Tierny visited Year 3 to discuss and answer questions regarding the 1975 Tasman Bridge Disaster. Ms Tierny was the first reporter on the scene and recorded the event for radio, with her stories reaching a national audience.

Year 3 have been investigating the disaster and had a wide range of questions for Ms Tierny, who acted as an excellent primary source of historical information. She was able to tell lots of stories and give a valuable insight to the terrible night. Year 3 have taken the opportunity to ask grandparents, parents and teachers about the event to enable a clearer and more empathetic understanding and to develop their knowledge as historical investigators.
