Safety Screens for All Employees
For the safety and wellbeing of students in our care, all employees are required to undertake and maintain an appropriate safety screen (background check). As a minimum, all employees are required to provide a National Police Record Check prior to commencement.
Some employees are required to undertake additional screening depending on their role within the School.
Any employee such as teachers, teacher aides, bus drivers or childcare employees caring for or teaching children within our children's services, are required to undertake a Tasmanian Department of Education Safety Screen. For more information see the Tasmanian Department of Education Safety Screen.
All teachers are required to be registered with the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board (TRB). Teacher registration includes an appropriate safety screen.
